Hunter, Lemur, Yak and I made a quick trip to Utah this weekend to pick up our table!!! Hunter milled and dried the wood, and Tortoise made our table... pictures to follow; it will get it's own special blog spot when we get it in the house. We got to Tortoise and Hare's house about midnight. We were SO HAPPY that Hunter's brother, Brian was there with his son Caleb, who came in right after we did. We stayed up until after 2:00 a.m. visiting with them. It was so great being able to spend time with them. Of course they thought the little boys were really cute, and surprisingly, the boys warmed right up to them! Usually they are a little shy of people they don't know.
Saturday morning the guys loaded the table in our trailer - if you look close you can see it in there.
Hare held the boys as much as she could!! Yak just loves her and cuddled with her a lot.
Yak also warmed right up to Brian, who thought he was super cute!
Hare and Hunter (back)
Lemur, Brian, Yak, Tortoise, and Caleb.
Of course Yak got into all of Grandma's knitting stuff.
Saturday afternoon, after going for a drive to let Yak take a nap, we got some lunch at Juniper TakeOut and met the Fox family at the park so the kids could play. Yak loved the swings!
Here's Vixen and Lemur going down the slide.
Trying out the teeter-totter... and then my camera battery died. We went to Anderson Seed Company and got all of our veggie and flower seeds for the year, then went back to the house and showed the Fox Family our table. Then we all took a good long nap!! We got up at 8:00 p.m. and had dinner at 9:00... yes, our schedule was a little bit off!! At 10:00 we were putting dinner away and the doorbell rang... Sealion was at the door!! Surprise!! It was a fun one, that's for sure. She had driven 13 hours to get there. Then we stayed up a while longer visiting with her.
Sunday morning we slept in!! Hunter, Lemur and I went for a walk to the cemetery and visited Hunter's 3rd Great Grandmother's Grave, Elizabeth Bradshaw, who came across the plains with the Martin Handcart Company. It was a lovely spring day and perfect for a walk. We left Utah around 12:30 and made it home by 6:30 or so with a stop in Jerome for Lemur to run around a bit. Yak was worn out by Mt. Home and cried most of the way home - at least he has a quiet cry. The other critters were waiting for us at home and had a good weekend without us. A big Thanks to Chamealon for hanging out here with Martin and taking him to EFY and to the Stake Dance Saturday night!
