WHY I DON'T BLOG

I just got on my SIL's blog and was inspired to blog.  I have hundreds of photos to download and that would take a lot of time.  I can't even remember what we've been doing the past 6 months, so I decided I would just have a little post to make YOU feel better.  This is why I don't blog any more:

I have 8 kids.  I know poor excuse, because I have a cousin who is supermom and has 8 kids (and home schools them) and she seems to be able to manage her time well enough to blog frequently AND be a good mom.  I can't do both, so I don't blog any more.  So I know not all of the 8 kids are here all the time, but that doesn't mean they don't all take up my time.  I worry about the ones that aren't with us.  Hunter and I actually spend quite a bit of time doing this - many hours of prayer and worrying and discussing, questions, thinking, praying more.  The other 5 that are here all the time consume me.  Sometimes I get frustrated with that, but then remember that they are my reason for being.  It is my divine nature to be a mom, and that is what I should be spending the majority of my time doing right now; teaching, playing with, working with, reading to, helping with homework, cooking for etc. etc. etc.  I wish I could manage my time better, but since I can't seem to do that, I'm giving up blogging as regularly as I used to.

With the 8 kids comes a messy house.  I don't know how people do it - have lots of kids and keep a clean, organized, well run house.  I have no idea.  Hints anyone?  I hate my house to be messy.  When the kids are home they do a great job cleaning - but when they are gone and it's just the little boys and I here, it's like a tornado goes off in the house constantly.  I feel like all I do is clean, pickup, dust, clean, vacuum, sweep, mop, do dishes, scrub cabinets, walls, doors, windows, ceiling fans etc. etc. etc.  So, that's another reason why I don't blog.

I'm the Young Women's President.  I know, there are other wonderful women out there that can do everything:  Have lots of kids, a clean house, and be an effective YW president.  I can't.  I spend 10-20 hours a week on my calling.  I love my calling.  I love the girls.  I love being with them.  I love going to mutual with them and serving and learning with them.  I wouldn't trade this experience for anything.  So, that's another reason why I'm not blogging as often.

I work 20 hours a week.  Again... some people can do everything.  I can't.  I get up early in the morning and work so I can be a mom when my kids are awake.  This makes me tired and grumpy in the early evening hours... something I'm trying hard NOT to do.  If I could get 6 hours of sleep a night I'd be happy.  I can't figure out how to do that either.  So - another reason why I don't blog any more.

I don't craft, cook fancy desserts, sew anything beautiful, make fun things for craft shows, decorate my house cute or anything like unto it.  I'm just ordinary and boring.  I do make my kids work a lot, and I work with them.  I need to do more fun things and expand my horizons a bit... but can't find the time to do that.  Any suggestions?

Since I'm on the computer so much working - I get sick of sitting in front of the computer; this is a main reason why I don't blog very much any more.

So, unlike your blogs that I read and get inspired by, I hope you don't go into depression and go do something irrational after reading my blog.  I'm sure there are more reasons why I don't blog, but I'm getting a headache from being on the computer so I'm going to stop.  I'm glad YOU blog - don't stop.  I need to continue to be inspired by you.
