Help

Okay, so I'm not so bright. I want to put "blogs I follow" on my side bar, and somehow I got my sisters on there, but I don't know how I did it. And now I don't know how to add any more... any one want to help out a poor old farm girl that is incredibly computer dense? Oh... I can type up a storm on the MS Word, but don't ask me how to do anything else. My Sil had to hold my hand through posting pictures and figuring out the blog posting thing. Heeellp! Maybe it's not too late for me.

And PS Porcupine's baptism is at 6:30. :) My Sil on Hunters side suggested we serve Trifles for dessert afterwards... sure, NOW you want to come! Hope to see you there!

Scentsy Oooops

So this morning Lemur and I went into my bathroom to change the Scentsy wax out for a new one. I poured the worn out wax into an old container, set it on the counter, turned around to get some toilet paper to wipe out the little cup thingy, and turned back around to Lemur... who had grabbed the old container with the liquid wax in it and saw him tip it up like a cereal bowl to "drink it." I grabbed it from him, but he had poured a bunch of it in his mouth already and was gagging and coughing. Of course the wax instantly hardened and sort of plugged up his mouth. I did a fast finger swipe and got most of it out. The rest he spit out gagging and spitting. Thank goodness Scentsy wax is nontoxic and not hot enough to burn. I keep forgetting that Lemur is tall enough to reach things on the counter now - and he's fast! Man, I can't keep up with him! His other messes this morning: Played in the dishwasher detergent under the kitchen sink - he has figured out how to open the baby proof locks - oh great! He also played in the dryer - climbed inside again, pushed a stool over to the frig water and got himself some water, then dumped it all over the floor - so I put the lock on the frig water thingy, and we mopped the floor. I had just swept, so at least it was clean! He climbed on the piano again and cleaned off the shelf for me again, and got into the huge bag of cups I had bought at Costco for Thanksgiving and threw them around the dining room (they were twist tied shut!!) Then it was into the computer paper and pulling books off the book case. Ahh, what a fun little boy. Oh, and by the way, if you want to order some nontoxic, not-hot-enough-to-burn-you Scentsy stuff, email my sister at esther2876@live.com you can have some of your very own. (my bathroom smells heavenly, - like Autumn Sunset - by the way, and so does Lemurs sweat shirt which now has wax all over it.)

Porcupine's Baptism!

Mark your calenders, and plan on coming if you can, Porcupine is getting baptized on Saturday, December 6. Don't know what time yet, but call me and I should know by then. We'll probably do something at our house afterwards involving food, so plan on coming for that too!

Invasion of the mice

Real mice, unfortunately. So while Hunter was hunting, I thought I heard one of the kids up real late at night. I got up to see what it was, and found a mouse running down the hall. I set a trap down there, but never caught one. Later Hunter thought he heard one in our bedroom, so we set traps in there and caught one, then one in our bathroom (if you were a mouse, why would you hang out in the bathroom?) So then last Sunday (a week ago) we thought we heard one in the pantry (that's where I'd live, if I were a mouse) and then found mouse tracks... yup, cute little tiny tiny foot prints... just kidding. I wish those were the tracks we found, but no... the #@!% mouse had the nerve to poop in my pantry! YUK! I hate that. So Saturday we spent a couple of hours taking EVERYTHING out of the pantry, cleaning/sterilizing/scrubbing the pantry, and putting everything back. It was a big job, but we now have a sparkling clean pantry and a better idea of what food storage we have and what we need to get more of.

Hunter found a case of mandarin oranges and tried to convince me that he was sure they meant to print 12/08 instead of 12/09 on them, and that he had better eat them all before they went bad. Nice try babe.

All the critters helped clean up but Lemur was there the whole time taking things out and handing them to the older critters. He loved helping with the vacuum (which I got fixed - hooray!) and wiping things down.

Later that day Hunter, Lemur and I went and looked at a couple more houses and ran a few errands (when I say errands and Hunter in the same sentence, it always means we go to Sportsmans Warehouse - just FYI.) The critters stayed home at watched Star Wars Clone Wars while we were gone, because neither Hunter nor I have any desire what-so-ever to watch it. I think they watched it three times knowing we'd never get it for them again. :) (our poor deprived critters)

Sunday was crazy as usual - church (which was wonderful) Baptism interview for Porcupine, choir (only two more rehearsals before our Christmas Cantata - yikes! I am the ward choir director) dinner, home teaching for Hunter, the crittres and I practiced a song we are singing at our ward Christmas party on December 5, we played Outburst, our home teachers came, take the KKritters back, etc. etc. etc. It was a nice weekend, just busy.

Porcupine turns 8!

We celebrated Porcupine's birthday on Friday, Saturday and again on Sunday. The critters around here celebrate their birthdays several times, I wonder if they get sick of cake and ice cream? Porcupine chose pizza for his birthday dinner - thank you Costco. Yes, I gave him a hair cut Saturday night because... well, he was starting to look like a Porcupine (see below) :) His cake didn't fall apart, so that was good - it did slide later that afternoon because I used whipped cream in the middle, but it sure was good! Happy Birthday Porcupine!
It's a rite of passage: When you turn 8 you get a set of scriptures. Porcupine was actually very excited about this - he has always loved the scriptures and thumbs through them often - now he can actually read them - he is a great reader.

Baaaad Mama

Lemur and I got home this morning from running errands, and I took him to his room to change his diaper. I left him playing in his room and went into the dining room. Not seconds later, I hear water sloshing and the sound of the toilet... but not the real flush sound, the sound of just the water going down without water filling it up (come on.. you know that sound). I RAN into the bathroom and found Lemur like this... He looks pretty proud of himself, wouldn't you say?
So, now I know it's not enough just to lean over the toilet and splash in it with his hands, he wants to really get into this toilet playing stuff... aiyaiyaiyaeee! Yes, Lemur got an early morning bath with LOTS and LOTS of soap. I can't even blame the other critters for leaving the bathroom door open this time because I'M THE ONE THAT LEFT IT OPEN!!!

Critters Bathroom

This will probably be the most boring blog post ever, but oh well. I have nothing else to do, RIGHT! When Hunter and I first got married (and we had six critters instantly) I found myself picking up towels ALL THE TIME because NOBODY left theirs on the floor, and EVERYONE hung theirs up (does anyone else have a Mr. Nobody at their barn?) SO, I got each critter their very own towel - they got to pick the color. It is the only towel they use and now the towels have magically started staying hung up, but if they don't, I know exactly who DIDN'T hang up their towel.

When we moved to this barn, the critters (mostly Bee, Penguin and Martin) painted these 1 x 3 x how-ever-long pieces of wood blue, then painted sea creatures all over them. (Their bathroom has an ocean theme) They turned out really cute and each critter has a hook for their very own towel. We also made a shorter one (below) that the girls put all their cute hair stuff on - the sand pails are cute and work great to hold elastics, clippies, etc. etc.
I was having the same problem with a bazillion cups being left all over the kitchen, so the critters have their own cup now too (same color as their towel) to drink water out of. It has solved the problem of having my counters covered in cups.

What's with the Headband?

Lemur always finds head bands and puts them on... like this. Hunter is not too happy about it, but Lemur thinks it's fun. Bee wears one every day, maybe he is trying to be like her.

9 critters

Last night I babysat the Ppur critters while their parents went to the Temple. They have 5 of the cutest critters ever - 4 girls and a boy. Lemur was fascinated by the baby. They sat like this for a long, long time.
He touched her hair....

Her shoe...

AND he had to give her kisses - usually Lemurs kisses are on the hair. He has this thing about hair, I tell ya.
The critters all did great and Hunter even came home to help (I gave him the option to stay at Sportsmans for several hours until the critters went home) and said the critters were all great. We had sloppy joes, french fries and green beans for dinner - I was glad I had made the sloppy joes earlier in the day and put it in the crock pot. The critters all loved the hot fudge sundaes for dessert - my aunts hot fudge recipe is to die for. After scriptures and prayers I took the Ppur critters to their house and got them in their PJ's and we hung out until their parents came home. It was actually a nice evening.

Just another Day

I'm not sure how many times a day Lemur does this... but he sure loves it up there.

Pretty proud of himself! He was even playing the piano this time, complete with drums and accompaniment.

Total Destruction in less than 5 minutes

He looks innocent enough in this picture right? Don't let it fool ya!

So last night we were playing a game on the kitchen table. Lemur could not stay down. In the course of a few minutes he had thrown handfuls of popcorn all over the dining room, thrown everything out of the game box, spilled a glass of ice water, then, of course, slipped and fell in it. And yes... I WAS watching him, he just moves a lot faster than I do. He was eating the popcorn at first...

Then this morning I thought - I'll just clean up the house before I get to work, that way Lemur and I can hang together and he won't destroy the house... ya, right. While I am making split pea soup for dinner, he was: Taking everything off of the frig (kids reading logs, recipes, menus, magnets, homework assignments etc) and throwing them on the floor. Then he dumped water out of a cup someone left on the counter. (He can reach the counter now - and even if he couldn't he finds something - anything - and pushes it over to the counter and stands on it so he can reach stuff). Then he got into all the Scentsy wax and dumped them out. He loves to smell them and brings them all to me for me to open so he can sniff and say "mmmmm!" Of course they end up all over the house.

He takes the scriptures off the shelf everyday and dumps them on the floor - must be a Lemur rule: No scriptures on the shelf! Then he climbed up on the piano, threw all the kids notes flash cards all over the living room and cleaned off the shelf above the piano. (yes, I was watching him, and he didn't even fall this time!)

Next stop was under the sink where he takes everything out, throws istuff across the kitchen and tries to get into the dish machine detergent. I sweep the floor while he helps me mop. He gets into the bread basket and helps himself to some bread (thank goodness I just swept - no one will notice at dinner, especially if I pre-butter everything, right?) and then he pushes the 50 pound container of wheat over to the counter, finds Hunters shooting ear plugs, drags the garbage out and throws the ear plugs in the garbage. Of course he found the cold cereal too and helped himself to a few handfuls of bran flakes. I did keep him entertained with an empty "mint flakes" bottle which he busily put the top on and off for a good 3 minutes. (that gave me time to finish the split pea soup, and start loading the dish washer) Lemur LOVES to help with dishes, so we played our game: See if Zookeeper can load the dishwasher faster than Lemur can unload it. I finally won, slamming the door shut, locking it and started the dishwasher. He was okay with that, because by that time he was in my closet, taking all of my shoes off the shoe rack and trying them on. He came out to model his favorite pair: A white tennis shoe on one foot, and a black pump on the other - it went perfect with his jeans.

Lemur has always loved to throw things - since he was knee high to a grasshopper he has been throwing a ball. Since he could walk, we taught him to throw his own diaper away - note to self: don't teach a baby to throw things away at an early age, it results in missing crock pot lids, regular pot lids, socks, silverware, shoes, canned goods, toys, measuring cups, and probably a lot of other things I am not aware that are missing yet.

Saturday morning I was eating breakfast, and Lemur was across the table from me standing on the bench - (we are working on getting him to SIT on the bench!) Anyway, he picked up a tape measure that Hunter was using, and was innocently playing with it. I was enjoying my cheerios, when WHAMO - Lemur threw the tape measure and it hit the gallon of milk, banging that into my glass of milk and giving me a shower.

The other day I thought (silly me) he was playing in his room. I went in to check on him and he had climbed up and gotten a box of wipes and emptied it all over the room, and had thrown all of the DVD's behind the book case - every single one of them. Now, you are probably thinking - what a loser mom, she sure doesn't watch her kid very well. Hey, he had been in there for less than five minutes and had never touched the DVDs before. The wipes... I didn't realize he could climb that high and get down without falling. :)

I better get to work today.. .Lemur is slowing down, believe it or not, and I think it might be nap time! He gives such good squishy hugs and kisses, and is SUCH a happy boy, it makes every single mess worth it!

Golden Chocolate Treasure Cookies

This is the best Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe I've ever tasted.... EVER! I got this recipe when we moved and someone brought them over waaayyy back when I was in college. I got the recipe from the gal and it's the only ccc recipe I ever make now. Anytime I take them somewhere, people want my recipe:

1 1/2 cups room temperature butter
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 t. salt
1 1/2 t. baking soda
1 t. vanilla

Cream above ingredients
ADD: 4 cups flour
1 pkg MILK chocolate chips

Bake 350 for 10-12 minutes.

Yum, Yum, Yum!!!

Good Weekend

No pictures, but I'm posting anyway. We had a nice weekend. Hunter was off on Friday, so he and Lemur worked in the shed tearing down a work bench that he built and using the lumber to make a re-loading bench for all of his re-loading stuff. Hunter said that Lemur kept going out of the shed and whining, so Hunter finally went out with him and he could tell that Lemur wanted to go for a drive in the pick up. So, they did. Lemur loves the old beat up pick up. Thank goodness he is to young to know what a piece of junk it is. Some day he'll realize it and won't want to be caught dead in it. :)

I got my work done before noon, made a batch of cookies, and actually got the house cleaned up since Lemur wasn't around to destroy it behind me. I swear, the critter is a tornado. Talk about natural disasters, he causes them at our barn! We took Lemur over to some friends around 2:00 and Hunter and I went to the Temple. We had a really great experience there, then went to Deseret Book and got Porcupine a set of scriptures for his birthday (he turns 8 on Wednesday!) We had to stop at Subway before heading home to pick up the critters. Monkey and Bee also went to our friends house after school to help out with Lemur. He doesn't do too well with babysitters, so we thought he'd do better with a couple of our critters there to help out. We were right. Yma (our friend) said he did okay as long as they were outside and she didn't try to touch him. :) Go figure. He was pretty happy to see Bee when she got there. They were eating dinner and happy as clams when we got back a little after 6:00. We hung out there for a little while, then went to another friends house for a birthday party.

We played Loaded question while the critters ran around outside and played who-knows-what (capture the flag in the dark, I think). Then we had cake and ice cream and went home around 10:00.

Saturday I went to our wards Super Saturday and I made the kids teachers Christmas gift (yea! that's done!) and a couple of family gifts for Christmas. I'll try and take pictures and post these some time along with instructions: very cute, easy, cheap. Just my style.

After that I played catch with the football with Bee and Monkey, then Hunter, Lemur and I ran some errands and picked up Martin who was spending the night at the Stnuh's house. (if you can break my code, you can figure out who I'm talking about :) ) We ended up chatting there for a couple of hours. We finally headed home, rented a movie, and the critters and I wasted another couple of hours watching another dumb movie. I did make another batch of cookies during that time though.

Sunday was normal - crazy get to church rush, church was great, always refreshing, then home for dinner, try to take a nap but Lemur is wrecking the house so that's impossible, then I went to choir. We had it at Yma's house later than normal so the Bishopric could come as all four of them are great singers. We had a great turn out, and everyone loved my cookies - so I'll post that recipe next.

The critters and I played "Count Your Blessings" for a few hours Sunday evening and that was fun. I remember having that game as a kid and it actually is part of the reason I am so paranoid about going into debt - it taught me how hard it is to get out of debt and what a slave you are when you are in debt. It didn't take the critters long to figure that out either, although it was interesting to see Bee go WAY into debt by no fault of her own, and Martin benefit from it (and loved every minute of it) and Monkey made frugal choices and had the most blessings in the end. Martin might have been the most wealthy, but only ended up with a few blessings... see, money isn't everything.

So, that's our pictureless weekend...

I don't know why I have had such a hard time doing a post on the blog lately. I think it's because I spend so much time on the computer, that when I'm done with work for the day I am so SICK of being on the computer that I can't stand to sit there another minute... even to post a blog. Sorry. I am going to try and do better so I don't have 15 blogs at once. I know I love looking at all of your blogs and seeing what you have been up too. I admire those who post daily or several times a week. All I can say is... I'll try to do better... No promises though. Have fun... I just posted a ton of pictures and stories.

Critters in the Kitchen

Steelhead was making eggs for breakfast AFTER he had gotten dressed for church, so I suggested he put on an apron... don't he look cute? :)
Lemur found an empty garbage can...

this will be a perfect hiding place...

Hey, it's dark in here!

Saturday is a busy day... too busy to take pictures!

Monkey and Porcupine spend a lot of time outside playing soccer. It is great exercise for them and they love playing together. It's pretty interesting watching them play together - they come up with some very creative rules. :)

We actually had a great day on Saturday. It was pretty cool outside, but we still did some clean up. Some nut job decided to put these little white rocks all they way around the house as a weed guard or something. Well, they are a pain! I have no idea how they continue to get out of the border and into the grass, but they do... all the time. No one else around the farm knows how it happens either. So... that's what the critters are doing here.... picking up little white rocks and putting them back where they go.
What else did we do this weekend? Can't really remember. Oh, ya. Steelhead and Martin had the Scouting for Food drive on Saturday morning. I drove them around a few streets in our area and we collected over 115 pounds of food. Pretty good. Their favorite part was riding around in the trunk of the van with the trunk open. We came home for hot chocolate and watched Indiana Jones 4 - it was pretty good, and I'm not much of a action movie kind of person. I scrapbooked while I watched the movie and got a lot done. I have completed 15 albums from 1992 until 2003 - I'm about done with those 11 years - that was a big project and I'm glad it's almost done.
Hunter bought a couple of pistols on Saturday so we had to go shoot them. That was pretty fun, but it was cold.
Martin, Bee and Monkey went to Disney on Ice Saturday evening with their Grandpa Toad and had a fun night doing that. The rest of us watched Ella Enchanted (and I scrapbooked some more) and Hunter and Steelhead cleaned the guns.
Sunday's are always crazy with church, choir and dinner and getting kids back where they need to be. I did sneak in a 30 min nap though - and Hunter and Lemur got a good 2 hour nap. Lemur has a hard time napping when his Daddy is home. I think he's afraid he is going to miss out on something, or maybe that Daddy's going to leave if he goes to sleep. So, Sunday Hunter just took a nap with him - then they were both happy!

Cuddling with Big Brother

Lemur loves to climb up in bed with Martin. Of course Martin has lots of cool things up on the top bunk that Lemur shouldn't get into, but Martin lets him look and touch with supervision. Lemur also loves Martin's cool pillow. This is a favorite bonding time these critters have.

A brief moment of INSANITY!

So I had a brief moment of insanity the other day. I usually don't work on Thursdays, and some of the critters didn't have school that day, so I invited two of Bee's friends over to work on an invention project they are supposed to do. They wanted to make a game together. Sounds fun, right?
Well, put together three pre-puberty girls (already emotional!) who are all head strong and have lots of ideas and try to come up with a new game.... yah... great idea! After a few bouts of tears, pouting and disagreements, they finally figured out how to work together and use some of each of their ideas to make a FABULOUS Idaho History Game. They really ended up doing a great job.

We took the game over to Abby's house and played it with her mom and sisters and a bunch of other girls. They were able to tweak the rules to make it work better and we all learned a little Idaho History. I was more tired after that day than I am when I work all day. WHEW!

Favorite Weekly Ritual

Every laundry day, without fail, Lemur empties most of the laundry baskets before they can make it into the washer, the dryer and get folded and put away. It has become a weekly ritual for him. He gets really excited when we get the laundry baskets out early Tuesday morning. In fact, he makes such a mess, that we have been trying to get it done BEFORE he wakes up - how's 6:30 sound to you to get your laundry sorted? The other critters and I set out 6 big laundry baskets, round up all the dirty laundry from bathrooms and bedrooms, and let the colors fly. The critters are really good about sorting laundry and pulling all those stinky socks right-side-out (in?). Some of them are even starting to do it when they take their socks off... novel idea! :) Then we stack the laundry baskets up and take them to the laundry room where I cycle them through (in about 10 loads) during the school day. Most of the time Lemur will go into the laundry room and empties one or more baskets, and even drags them around the house. When the critters get home from school we sort the laundry into critters piles, and they fold and put their own clothes away. It is quite a circus when Lemur helps us sort. Usually someone ends up with someone elses shirt, socks or undies because Lemur throws them into the wrong basket. How's that for getting a lot of laundry done in one day?! It's not my favorite day, it's not the other critters favorite day, but Lemur sure loves Laundry day!

Steelhead is a TEENAGER!!!!

Please don't look at Steelhead's cake too closely... I was in a hurry, and it shows. He wanted a German Chocolate cake with coconut frosting. I made two round cakes, made a cream cheese frosting filling and put it together and frosted it before we went to church. We came home from church and Bee took a peek at it... it had totally fallen apart. I had done this one other time - put the wrong sides of the cake together. Maybe it'll be another 10 years before I forget again. The cake sure was yummy, even though it looked like an erupted volcano!
Steelheads birthday was October 27, but we celebrated a little late - lots of October birthdays to celebrate. We can't believe we have a teenager in the house, and in a few more months we'll have TWO!!! (don't tell anyone, but Steelhead shaved the other day and he looks real handsome!!)

Lazy, Rainy Saturday

I didn't take any pictures on Saturday because I was too busy RELAXING! It was cool and rainy, the perfect day to stay home in front of a fire and curl up with a book and a cup of hot cocoa. I wish that's what I did. But, we had a nice day anyway.

After sleeping in and listening to the rain fall, we had breakfast, cleaned the house then did a family clean-the-frig day... long overdue.

Then we loaded up, dropped the vacuum off to get fixed, and went to Costco for lunch... where else can you feed 6 people for under $20? Then we loaded up on Costco goodies. Penguin and I dropped the guys off at Sportsman's Warehouse and went to the grocery store and ShopKo to get shoes and some clothes. We picked up the guys and headed home, stopping for a couple of movies. We watched John Wayne's Rio Bravo (long movie, but a good ol' Western) and ate Taco Soup after.

We cleaned up dinner, popped some pop corn and played Apples to Apples until 9:30. Then it was scriptures, prayers and bedtime. As Hunter and I were headed to bed at 10:30, we realized Daylight Savings time was ending and that it was only 9:30! We should have stayed up and partied for that extra hour, but we opted to use the hour more wisely and sleep. :)

The only thing missing on Saturday were three kids and a cozy fire... one day SOON we'll get a house with a wood stove!

Cootest Wittle Wion Ever!

It didn't take Lemur long to figure this whole trick-or-treating thing out!

He even has a cute little hiney!

The treating gang! After Lemur was full of candy (and the van was sticky too) we took Lemur home for a bath and I took Martin and Bee out a little more. We hit the "big houses" in the neighborhood and as Martin said, "It was well worth the effort of driving around." A few of the houses were not only giving out full size candy bars, but KING sized candy bars! It was a fun Halloween.

Happy Halloween!

MAN, the weather on Halloween was awesome! It was supposed to rain all day, but instead we had sunny, almost 70 degree weather! I hadn't been that comfortable on Halloween since we lived in Texas! We went trick-or-treating in town and stopped at a little carnival. Yes, that's me, the witch in the background. Hunter said he didn't realize those were witches shoes, and now when I wear them he'll hide from me.
Here we have a good old boy scout ready to go camping, and Karate Kid.

Martin was a pirate - love the beard! This is a trick I learned when I was in 3rd or 4th grade and it makes GREAT Halloween beards: Just rub Vaseline in the place you want facial hair, then blot coffee grounds (I use postum) on the Vaseline. Yes, it's a little smelly, but it makes a very real looking beard. We didn't have very much postum this year, so we opted for a goatee (sp?). He looked pretty cool and none of his friends knew who he was at first.

Getting Wood

Last weekend we went a couple hours from the farm to get fire wood. Lemur LOVES the chainsaw and got super excited when Hunter got it out and was putting gas and bar oil in it. He was mad that he couldn't be right next to Hunter when he was cutting the trees down.

The critters were all great helpers! After Hunter got the trees down, we'd limb them and then drag the branches out of the way so we could get the pick up down by the tree. Then we'd load the rounds into the pickup and drive the truck up the hill to the trailer, and load the trailer.
Each critter got a break when it was their turn to do Lemur duty and keep him entertained. Lemur sure loves to be in the woods, a "wood chip" off the old block, I guess. :)

Loading the trailer.

Lemur wanted to help too. He found some Lemur sized pieces he could hand to Hunter.
(Yes, the other critters were there too, I just got so busy working I forgot to take very many pictures). I should have taken pictures during lunch - everyone's favorite time. Nothing tastes as good as it does up in the mountains after a long morning of getting wood - even PBJ, cookies and apples.
I think we got about 3 cords of wood that day - earlier we had gotten about 2, so we should be done for the winter, but you never know. Hunter likes getting wood, so we might just go for fun one weekend and get some more.

Penguin's Birthday

Penguin chose tacos for dinner, chocolate bundt cake and sherbet for dessert. We can't believe she is 11-years-old!!!
Tortoise and Hare were here for the weekend and got to spend Sunday with us. They came to watch the critters in the Primary Program during church, and then came for dinner and to celebrate Penguin's birthday. Lemur is such a little turkey - he doesn't want any adult to hold him except Mom and Dad. He did let Hare coax him up onto her lap... but only because she had chocolate cake and ice cream to share.

Opening gifts - she's a great reader and got books and a lamp to hook on her bed so she can read late into the night.
