More Roofin' (and PBR)

So, Saturday was spent up on the roof, this time putting new shingles on. We had such great help or we never would have been able to get it all done in one day! Hunter's cousin came again and brought 2 of his girls. J was a big help up on the roof. B played with Porcupine and the little Buckarooette of the Cowboy family. Here they are working on the Internet antenna. They did a great job of taking it off, shingling, and putting it back in just the right spot so my Internet connection worked when they got done!
Here is J's silhouette along with her Dad and Penguin.

The Cowboy family came around 1:00. Cowboy helped up on the roof while their little Buckarooette played with B and Porcupine. They were playing Tarzan - Porcupine went first and went sailing away. Then Buckarooette tried and the branch broke. Drat the luck! She got all banged up when she came here to play. I hope she'll come again even though she kept getting hurt while she was here. This is the only picture of cowgirl that I got, but we enjoyed sitting in the sun on the deck and chatting while the guys worked up on the roof.

Penguin helped out a lot on the roof. She even used the nail gun like the guys!

Here is Hunter, Pa Lizard and Cousin (sorry, haven't thought of a name for him yet). All three of these men have had back surgery - the same surgery - fusing their vertebrates together. No one complained about their back hurting... except for our 13-year-old Steelhead... go figure. :)

Look at that pretty new roof!

I didn't get any pictures of our evening. We have a tradition of going to the PBR (Pro-Bull Rodeo) every year with the Cowboy Family and the Elk Family. We always have a big dinner at the Elk's house and then leave the critters home and the adults go to PBR. My battery was dead so I couldn't take my camera. We did have a great time though. Cow Elk and her Mom made a really yummy turkey dinner for all of us. We stuffed ourselves and then headed over to the PBR. I was super tired this year because I had gotten up at 4:00 a.m. to get my 4 hours of work in before everyone got up that morning. It was still fun though - lots of good bull ridin'! I love eating the candied nuts there, yum!! Lemur went with us and did great. His favorite thing was the skidsteer that plowed up the arena. Go figure. He's an equipment man! It was nice visiting with the Cowboy family for a bit on Sunday afternoon. We don't get to see them very often. What a busy weekend!!!!
