Some friends of our learned of the Hunters passion for cutting down trees (oh, by the way, Elk changed his name to the Hunter... thought it was an appropriate name for the patriarch of the funny farm...
hehehe) anyway, so they asked the Hunter if he would come and top some tree/bush things that were getting into the power lines. So on Saturday we went over to their house and topped trees. It made me a little nervous, but I suppose all zookeepers are nervous when their Hunters are perched precariously on the
tippy top of an extension ladder that is just leaned up against a tree/bush thing that isn't very big around, but quite tall. Hunter didn't seem to mind a bit. He was having the time of his life!
Steelhead needed to earn some money for Scout Camp, so he hauled the tops off to the burn pile.
Look how green it is!!! Spring has sprung!!!
