Friday night Hunter, Penguin, and Steelhead went to find us a good camping spot. Zookeeper had to work Saturday morning, so she got up real early, got her 4 hours in, and then she, Porcupine, Yak, and Lemur headed up to the mountains to find the rest of the gang. We found them and spent the rest of the weekend getting 2 cords of firewood, eating, taking long walks and sleeping. We took the dogs for their first camping trip and they loved it!!!
Yak got so dang filthy dirty!! He is walking pretty good now, but the ground was so uneven that he spent a lot of time on his bum and hands and knees.
Lemur's favorite thing to do is chop old stumps.
Jake and Aboo had fun chasing squirrels and exploring all the new sights, smells and sounds of the forrest.

Hunter doesn't settle for a little 3 log fire, we burn about a half a cord each night. :)
The dogs ride in the back of the pickup - they are learning how to get in and out by themselves.
